As Group Finance Director, Aidan built a finance function from scratch for a company that ultimately grew to have €2bn of diverse property assets under development or management, including sourcing and rolling out an ERP system (Yardi) that underpinned and supported the company’s growth.
Aidan stepped into the FD role while the company was going through a transformative systems upgrade project (SAP). He identified significant efficiencies within the team and mentored a number of staff members into managerial positions. He brought an outside perspective to the systems upgrade project, which prompted a fundamental revision of the project parameters.
Aidan was Finance lead on the governance committee for the role out of a best-in-class ERP system (Meditech Expanse) with capital expenditure of +€26m, which touched on all aspects of the patient’s medical journey. With responsibility for a department of 70+ people, he navigated the Finance and Operations team through a period of significant turbulence, delivering operational stability and achieving budget targets despite the challenging change environment.
Aidan steadied the ship for the Real Estate division during a period of significant staff turnover, and introduced a robust discipline around statutory and management reporting for 50+ SPVs, as well as ensuring compliance obligations were met.
